Puppet Investors Re-Up With 40M$ Series E Funding
Automation and configuration management superstar Puppet Labs has gone to the market for a Series E funding round of 40 Million dollars. This brings their total funding since inception up to 86 Million dollars. Just in case you were worried that the value of the Series E round, you can see that the investors including VMware, Cisco, Google Ventures and more are clearly all-in with the company’s vision.
Making the Enterprise Play
One of the goals of Puppet Labs is to grow its paying customer base with their Puppet Enterprise offering. With an estimated 500 customers already on board, there will be a push to show the value of the Puppet Labs suite and how it can bring companies further ahead with their IT automation.
Orchestration and Community: A Perfect Pair
As more organizations jump on board, we also see a growth in the contributing community which is building the value proposition by creating better modules, more documentation, and a growing adoption across all ranges of industries from small shops up to enterprise service providers such as VMware vCloud Hybrid Service (vCHS).
