Red Hat Unveils Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 5
OpenStack continues to draw attention, and Red Hat has announced the latest in their Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform with version 5 of the suite. This marks a good day for the long time OpenStack advocates, and shows that RedHat is keen to stay among the leaders on the open platform.
Excellent VMware Integration
This is becoming a leading indicator of the “enterprise” OpenStack vendor offerings. By providing VMware integration using enhancements on the native interoperablity, the Red Hat packaged approach hopes to stand out among its competitors.
Beyond the hypervisor support, there is also support for VMware NSX and the VMDK driver for Cinder ready to go for using block storage in your VMware platform. Support is also a key features that draws many customers toward their RHEL platforms.
