Securing Your vSphere: vSphere 5.5 U1 Hardening Guide Beta 2 Released
With all of the focus on security in the world of technology, one of the first places we should look is into our VMware infrastructure. The VMware Community Team has just released Beta 2 of the VMware vSphere 5.5 Update 1 hardening guide for us to do just that!
Secure all the things!
The guide is delivered in Excel format with a broad coverage of lock down recommendations. Not only is the guide there to keep track of what you would like to lock down, but the instructions and methods are contained in the document also. This is a great way to track your current status and to tackle the hardening techniques that you and your security team wish to put into place.
Using the various tabs, you can select hardening parameters for VM, ESXi, vNetwork, vCenter Server, VUM, SSL, Web Client and VCSA.
A big thanks goes to the VMware security team who provide this content, and make sure to send out a thanks to them through their VMware Communities page to let them know how valuable this guide is.
