Seeing the Big Picture: VMware Horizon 6 Networking
When we deploy products in our environments, we often overlook some of the important factors such as network topology and TCP/UDP port mapping. Ultimately we will figure these things out in practice as we watch traffic bouncing off of firewalls at every side, but why not take a look at the big picture before we get started.
No, Really, We Mean a Big Picture
As a fan of big diagrams like those done by Hany Michael (Like Posters? We do! VMware vCHS Reference Architecture from Hany Michael), then you will also like the post by Ray Heffer posted at his site here which gives a nice full view of the inter-object traffic path, port numbers, and overall logical network topology for a VMware Horizon 6 deployment.
Thanks to Ray for the great diagram, and you can also view the entire VMware Horizon 6 architecture documentation at the VMware site here.
